Skai, a 6-month old Border Collie rescued from the kill shelter in Farmington was adopted by a family in Albuquerque. Not only did they take on this energetic pup, but they also took Flora, a 5 month old from a rescue group in Santa Fe. They are both happy and wreaking havoc in their new home. Delilah finally found her perfect home. A really nice family of 2 humans and 3 dogs adopted her after their oldest dog died at 15 years of age. The other dogs were so depressed, especially the one who was best friends with the dog that died. Delilah went in there and with her sense of fun and her charming ways, had the dogs out and playing again in a few days. I am glad she is happy and at home. |
Sweep came from the Roswell Humane Society where he was turned in for behavioral problems by a woman who had adopted him a year earlier. He had a lot of trust issues which took a long time to work out. However, he was a sweet and affectionate dog who loved to play with the other dogs and fit into our household well. He found a wonderful family who loves him (he even gets to sleep on their bed - a luxury not even to be contemplated in this household) and so he is very happy. |

Snow came from the Southern Ute Animal Control and was rescued with the help of an animal control officer the day before she was to be euthanized. She is now living in New York, The Big Apple, and is a happy dog with parents who work from home and can be with her all day long. She also has two cats to play with which makes her very happy and them, not so much.
